Referrer Frequently Asked Questions

Physiotherapy Specialist Referral Sydney

Do you treat workers compensation and third party injuries?

Yes we do. We need a Drs referral. Once we have the referral we will seek approval from the insurers for an initial assessment. As soon as approval is received we will call you to book you in for an initial appointment.

Do you see patients under the Enhance Primary Care (MEDICARE) scheme?

Yes we do. We do not however bulk bill. Patients must pay for their consultation up front then claim back the medicare amount directly from medicare.

How do I refer?

There are a number of ways you can refer.

  • Print out our referral form, fill out and give to the patient so they can make contact themselves.
  • Fill out our on line referral form and send it through to us and we will contact your patient to make an appointment.

What happens once I refer?

  • If they are a private patient we will book them in straight away. You will receive a letter after their first appointment informing you of the plan agreed to by the patient.
  • If they are having treatment under a workers compensation or third party claim we will seek approval from the insurers for an initial assessment within 3 days of the referral.
  • We will call the patient at that time to confirm the referral was received so they know they are being looked after.
  • We will call the patient as soon as we receive notification of approval and make an appointment for the assessment ASAP.
  • You will be notified with regards to the response from insurers, assessment dates and program commencement/ design.
